Michelle Taylor

FOUNDER

An exceptionally experienced and influential lead Creative Designer of retail interior precincts, Michelle sets the strategic vision, plannng and design direction of high-profile retail development projects in Australia and Internationally.

As founding Director of MTRDC,Michelle leads her team of highly skilled designers. to bring a dynamic design edge to retail development projects and evolving design concepts into unique, enriching and authentic environments. 

Prior to founding MTRDC, Michelle worked as a Design Leader at Westfield D&C, Australia and consulted to Westfield US.

Kate Davies

INTERIOR DESIGNER

Kate is a multi-skilled Senior Designer, holding a Diploma in Interior Design and a BA in Graphic Design. This combination of skillset brings a diverse and layered approach to her design aesthetic. 

Kate and Michelle have a strong working relationship, having worked on retail design projects together over 16 years. Also part of the Westfeild interior design team, Kate lead key design projects, liasing with all Westfield divisions, Construction and external consultants to ensure the design vision was delivered. Kate joined MTRDC in 2011.

Kate is passionate about design innovation and trends. Combined with her meticulous approach to detail, she inspires contemporary, relevant and exciting outcomes.

Joanne Dwyer

INTERIOR DESIGNER

Joanne joined the MTRDC studio early in 2019. She is a highly skilled Senior Designer with 15 years’ experience in the hospitality, hotels, retail and bespoke workplace design.

She has specialised experience in bar and restaurant design and has worked with some of Australians leading design firms including Luchetti Krelle, Gensler, Hecker Guthrie and Woods Bagot, where she was a design leader on the Randwick Racecourse development.

Joanne’s experience brings to MTRDC, a detailed eye for combining bespoke joinery, finishes and lighting to create unique destination retail spaces, combined with strong technical knowledge of the BCA, Australian Standards and local construction processes.
